Other information from the donor.
These beautiful lamps are converted oil lamps. The donor estimated the oil lamps were from the late 1890’s. They come from a home in Paterson, NJ, that belonged to the family of Abram G Hopper, my great-grandfather, who built the Paterson General Hospital, the Library, several bridges, and MANY homes and commercial buildings there – he and his cousin owned a major construction company in the city. He also served a term as an elected Freeholder of Passaic County in the late 1800s.
The winner must pick up in State College.
The lamp measures 18 1/2″ from the base to the bottom of the finial.
